The only method I was allowed to use to contact Azure technical support was to follow the process on the Azure platform to create a ticket. Unfortunately, none of the options were applicable to my situation and the closest option only recommended posting on these forums with no options for direct support from Azure.
Regardless, I found an alternative solution to bypass the Azure malfunction. This involved the following:
- Browse to the Recovery Services Vault.
- Under the "Manage" section, select "Backup Infrastructure"
- In "Backup Infrastructure", select "Azure Backup Agent"
- Select the protected server you wish to delete and proceed to follow step to delete decommissioned server.
