We have a Windows 11 Enterprise Edition device that was activated and delivered to our employee for their work. A few months ago, we reinstalled it and added the device to Azure AD + Intune for management, and the license was activated. However, the user is now receiving a "Your Windows license will expire soon" message every time they boot up or restart.

The Windows Enterprise machine was activated using KMS and it has not been able to reach a your corporate KMS host or was AD activated on a domain that is not reachable currently. The activation was good for 180 days an dis now down to the remaining 17 days to reach your KMS host or your AD activated domain.

Do you have a KMS host?

    Open an elevated CMD prompt.

    Run slmgr /DLV.

This will tell you the KMS host that previously activated this machine and you can check if that machine is still accessible from this client machine.

See this link to trouble-shooting KMS, which includes the Event log entries and what they mean.

    Hello,

According to the picture, it seems that the system has been activated to KMS server. But not display the KMS server name and not available. So I consider the client could not connect KMS to be activated always.

Did this client activate by VLCS key or retail key? If you don't use a KMS key to activate, try to reactivate it by using your correct key.

Uninstall the current product key: In the Command Prompt, enter the following command:

    slmgr.vbs /upk

This will uninstall the currently installed product key from your system.

Install the new product key: Enter the following command in the Command Prompt, replacing “XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX” with your new product key:

    slmgr.vbs /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

The new product key will be installed on your system.

Activate Windows: Finally, activate Windows using the newly installed product key by entering the following command:

    slmgr.vbs /ato

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
