Sharepooint List Export to CSV failing - Rows getting shifted

Hello,

I am currently having an issue with my SharePoint list export to a .CSV file.

The text delimiter is not properly working while exporting the data.

When I open the .CSV file I can see that in a few cases the data is partially shifted to the next row.

I cannot fully understand why the data is shifted because there are other rows with nearly the same data which are not followed by a data shift.

All of this started a few weeks ago and there have been no changes to the SharePoint list.

To help you better solve your problems, Can you tell me which text delimiter is not working when exporting data? A few cases the data is partially shifted to the next row. What type of content is contained in these line feeds, and can you give me an example? I need this information to run a test against your situation, thanks for your time！

so I am using this function on sharepoint

The output is a CSV File which delimits columns based on commas ",".

In total there are above 8000 lines which the delimiter function needs to parse through, but in 7 of these lines the delimiter misinterprets the data and falsely creates a new line.

Example:

yellow row = headers of the sharepoint list;

orange row = row that is falsely shifted;

every row needs to start with "SJ250" as this is the project name which is at the same time the first column (easy to detect corrupted rows)

The error occurs around certain columns but the false text delimitation cannot be assigned to a certain column as in a few cases the (false) delimitation appears later than compared to a previous case.

One of the suspicious columns contains email adresses separated by a semi-colon ";" ... what irritates me is that only in a few cases the error appears ... other rows which also contain email adresses separated by semi-colones are not affected and the rows are structured as expected.

Unfortunately, I need to export the data to CSV files because certain KPIs are based on that data format.

I am not sure if it would be helpful to do a little research omn the functioning of the export function.
