Microsoft Data Protection Manager Licensing

Hello Everyone,

I have inheritaed a "Not Activated" Microsoft DPM server 2016 and I an quite new to this backup solution.

Does any one have an understanding on how licensing works for DPM ? The Server is Windows Server 2016 but its not activated.
