Trying to fix listing of messages in Outlook email

Hello!

In Outlook email, when I have up to 15 messages open, they are shown in icons across the bottom of the screen. More than that, they're listed vertically, as shown in the attachment.

I find it incredibly distracting to have it switch back and forth, and I'd like for Outlook to always list the items vertically--which is how it used to be, a few versions ago.

How can I get it to list message vertically all the time, no matter how many or how few I have open?

Thanks!

    Hi @Mary-Powel Thomas ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Based on my test, i find that when I have enough Outlook windows open, they are displayed in portrait orientation, which reproduces your issue. Also, I do the same test on multiple browser windows and the results were the same. I'm afraid the issue is more related to Windows settings.

Please kindly understand that the Outlook tag here we mainly focus on general issues about Outlook desktop client. It's suggested that you could post your issue with "Windows Server" tag to get more professional suggestions.

Thanks for your understanding and support!
