Hello,
I have added several people from my organisation to my list of contacts, and I have sorted them into groups based on department. We have an email name system that reflects the job role that each person does e.g. John Smith (SALES-TL1). When I added these people to my contacts, they displayed the name that was given to them at the time, but some of them have changed position now. On Outlook, it will reflect the updated name E.g. John Smith (SALES-HEAD) but on Skype it will still display John Smith (SALES-TL1).
My question is, how do I update Skype to reflect the new name given to each person? It is now out of date on several people, and when Skype first loads it will display the correct name for a second or so before refreshing and displaying the old name again so its like it is reverting to a local save version. We have limited IT access and I cant find anything in the settings to reflect this.

It sounds like the issue might be related to the cache that Skype for Business maintains locally on your computer. Here are the steps to clear the cache, which might help update the contact names:
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync. C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\Sip_<YourSipAddress>. Sip_<YourSipAddress> folder.

I have done as you say here and deleted these directories. When I open up Skype for Business again, it will show the updated names for a few seconds, then will revert back to the old names again. I'm honestly not sure why it is doing this.
