Please go to Word Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Add-in Catalogs
, check if "Don't allow any web add-ins to start" or "Don't allow web add-ins from the Office Store to start" is ticked. If so, please untick it for a check.
If you cannot untick the box, I suggest you go to User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Microsoft Office 2016\Security Settings\Trusted Catalogs
, make sure "Block Web Add-ins" is not configured or disabled.
Besides, to use the Microsoft Office store normally, you need to enable "optional connected experiences".
