Is it true that Teams logs retaintion period has increased from 90 days to 180 days

Is there any PS command that will export the Teams logs before 90 days

Also we can download data from content search as well where Teams data kept for forever

but why it is said that Teams logs will get deleted after 90 days

Teams logs flow to the Unified audit log, much like all other M365-related logs. Therein, they are now stored for 180 days by default, and more if you have E5/Audit Premium SKU. You can use the same methods to retrieve entries older than 90 days, nothing has changed in that regard: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/audit-search?tabs=microsoft-purview-portal
