new outlook clear cache

clear cache in new outlook. it prompts wrong email addresses after updating email address in contact

this is such a waste of time. i cannot update an email address in contacts in the NEW outlook. every answer comes back with go to File etc. BUT THERE IS NO SUCH TAB IN NEW OUTLOOK. how can ms get this so wrong? 2 hours spent on it now.

Please just tell me how to update and email address in contacts in NEW OUTLOOK. I cannot get rid of the old email and when i simple try and type the new email outlook overrides it.

You could edit the contacts in People by the following article:

Add, find, edit, or delete a contact in Outlook - Microsoft Support

Add or update contact information

1. From the navigation pane, select  People.
2. Double click the contact you would like to edit.
3. Add or update the information for your contact.
4. When you're finished, select Save.

If the issue persists, you also could delete the contact and create new one.

Thank you. the only solution was to delete the contact and add it again. This is going to be very tedious moving forward.

in order to get rid of the old email address i had to delete the the contact and add it back.
