Hello:

We have some shared autopilot windows devices are Microsoft Entra registered join type, the rest of the shared devices have Microsoft Entra Joined.
Devices are cloud only joined, and enrolled to Intune via self deploying mode. They use same deployment profile: Join to Microsoft Entra ID as = Microsoft Entra joined.
These Entra ID registered shows Azure AD joined with command dsregcmd /status. It just displays in Intune and Azure portal as Entra ID registered

Is there anyway to convert these Entra registered to Entra joined? Thanks.

    Hi @Ahmed Alshatawi

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Q&A Forum!

I understand that you would like to convert the Entra registered to Entra joined device.
Microsoft Entra registered are personally owned devices. The users are not required to use a corporate account to log in to the device. The device is automatically Entra registered when a user logs on to an organizational application using their corporate identity.
To answer your question, as of now there is no option to convert the Entra registered to Entra joined device.
If you want to achieve your ask you need to remove and re-enroll the device.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries by responding in the comments section.

    Thanks,

    Akhilesh.

    Good day from Geneva

We have the same exact issue here. The computers are NOT personally owned computers and are joined through the cloud only. They are OOB or Reset before joining with autopilot, there is no local account, no local admin, all are registered as autopilot.

And still, some are recorded as Entra registrered devices.

I also checked with the dsregcmd /status command and these are considered as joined. Why are they then displayed as registered?
