Teams audio not working on calls with one specific user

Hi! I have a weekly call with a coworker, and anytime we get on the call we can't hear each other. Our audio is working perfectly fine on other calls. We've checked to make sure the right microphones and speakers are connected. We've even tried to call each other directly through the chat, which didn't help.

It's really important that we can hear each other on these calls - how do we fix this?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Network Connection:

Ensure both of you have a stable internet connection. Sometimes, an unstable connection can cause audio issues.

    1. Restart Teams:

Close and reopen Microsoft Teams. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

    1. Clear Teams Cache:
    • Close Microsoft Teams completely.
    • Navigate to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams on your computer.
    • Delete the files and folders in this directory (don’t worry, Teams will recreate them).
    • Restart Teams.
    1. Update Teams:

Make sure both of you have the latest version of Microsoft Teams installed. Sometimes, updates include important fixes for connectivity issues.

    1. Check Audio Settings in Teams:
    • Click on your profile picture in the top right corner, then go to Settings > Devices.
    • Ensure the correct microphone and speakers are selected.
    • Use the Make a test call feature to verify that your equipment is working properly within Teams.
    1. Recreate the Meeting:

Sometimes, there can be an issue with the specific meeting link. Try setting up a new meeting invite.
