Does Outlook support Zoom? Partner customer wants to hold a meeting using the Zoom application. They only sent an email to explain, but we need to prepare in advance.

Yes, Outlook does support Zoom integration, making it easy to schedule, join, and manage Zoom meetings directly from your Outlook calendar. Here’s how you can prepare:

    1. Add the Zoom Plugin to Outlook
    • If you're using Outlook on the web or Outlook desktop, you can install the Zoom for Outlook add-in.
    • Go to Home > Get Add-ins in Outlook, search for "Zoom for Outlook," and click Add.
    • Once added, you’ll see options to Schedule a Meeting or Start an Instant Meeting directly from Outlook.
    1. Schedule a Zoom Meeting from Outlook
    • After installing, you can create a new calendar event and use the Add Zoom Meeting button. This will generate a Zoom meeting link in the event details that attendees can click to join.
    1. Prepare for the Meeting
    • Confirm with the partner if you’ll be scheduling the Zoom meeting or if they’ll send an invite.
    • Familiarize yourself with Zoom’s settings in Outlook (e.g., setting meeting options like waiting rooms, passcodes, etc.).

By setting up Zoom in advance, you’ll be able to seamlessly manage any meetings within Outlook.
