    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

    Subscription Type:

Check the current subscription Type in the overview panel.

    • If your subscription is listed as "Free Trial", "Visual Studio/MSDN", or anything else like "Student" or "Sponsorship".

Only Free Trial subscriptions have a direct Upgrade to Pay-As-You-Go path through the portal.

    Billing Account:

Users are on Microsoft Customer Agreements (MCA) or Enterprise Agreements (EA), which don’t show the upgrade banner either. You can check your billing account via:

Azure Portal → Cost Management + Billing → Billing Profiles.

You may need to talk to your billing administrator if you're under an EA or MCA.

If you can migrate the resources, please feel free to create a new subscription with the PAYG type and move the resources. (Note: Some resource types cannot be migrated.)
