Hello,

Use the TDSSkiller from Kapersky to remove this MBR-virus rootkit.win32.TDSS.tdl4. Afterwards scan your PC with Malwarebytes. It wil help.

Succes,

Kind regards

I'm sorry for reviving an old thread but I'm at wit's end. I've run memory checks, hard drive surface scans, checked the SMART logs and I'm at total loss as to why I'm experiencing these BSODs with ataport.sys. I have uploaded the last 3 minidumps to SkyDrive. Here's the link:

    http://cid-2addb6bdf23fdc65.skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?resid=2ADDB6BDF23FDC65!116

I'm hoping some one can help me.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate with a P4 2.8Ghz, 2Gb memory, 250Gb primary drive. These BSODs have started in just the last month, I've made no hardware changes to the PC in over a year.

    Thanks.

    FAILURE_BUCKET_ID:  IP_MISALIGNED_ataport.SYS

    BUCKET_ID:  IP_MISALIGNED _ataport.SYS

    Check your RAM for errors.

Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via Windows Live SkyDrive or similar site?

The following link has information on using Windows Live SkyDrive:
