Teams meeting close participants video

Question

When having multiple persons participating Teams meeting often it is nice to join with video on. Sometimes others may suffer a poor-quality connection or have their webcam pointed in other direction than it supposed. Is there a roadmap to allow the meeting organizer to switch off the participants video like you can mute other persons?

If you are the administrator in Microsoft Teams admin center, you can try to set the meeting policy and assign it to users in your organization.

In some organizations, admins want to more control over which user’s meetings have video, disable “Allow IP video” can control who can turn on video and who cannot. For more details, you can learn from:

That was not the answer I was looking for as a meeting moderator it would be nice feature to be able to close video on live if you can say so. I tried to find out if it is already in roadmap but didn't see it there:

I apologize for misinterpreting your statement.

Indeed , this function is still unavailable in Teams client and i don't see this function in roadmap.

We highly recommend you vote for it in Teams UserVoice (Link: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40632115-allow-organizer-to-close-participant-video-in-team). Microsoft will always focus on customer’s feedback and experience, some new features would be added to the services based on customers' feedback in the future, and your good ideas will be very helpful for them to improve the service.
