I have a zcan wireless scanner mouse.  It works great in Window 7 but I just got a new computer with windows 10 and when I downloaded the software an error code appears and will not run...I see many other people have had the same problem...I need this device to work I use it constantly...any idea when we could expect a fix?  The error reads as "The procedure entry point FinishOVDXDriver could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program File's (x86)\Zcan Wireless\OVBaself.dll."

Hi my name is Ross, I'm an independent advisor. I'd be happy to help with your issue.

This appears to be an issue reports by many users. In a previous thread another user has provided a solution which appears to be verified as working:

    Hello,

I have same issue with LG LSM-100 mouse. It's seems this scan mouses are the same in core.

Here is how I manage to fix it:

    1. Download Update 22.07.2019 software from here: https://support.crealogix.com/windows-update-1903/ and install it.

2 Go to install dir and in my case

copy two files from installed directory: OVBaseIF.dll and DXCore1.dll.

    1. Put them in your native software directory, in my case LG folder.
    2. Run your native software for the mouse, it will say if need some other file to start normally.

Here is link from my drive for the fix: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ai89DnHacGmMget2XhydiW1EPUD...

    Hi Ross

I have a zcan+ wire mouse but lost the software disk. Can you share the software or give me the link to download it back?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hilary

    Hi Cheryl,

No problem, in step 1 when you install the software it will let you know where it is going to install (you can start the process again and cancel if you can't remember)

Next you open file explorer and goto that folder, find the two filesOVBaseIF.dll and DXCore1.dll and copy them to C:\Program File's (x86)\Zcan Wireless\

Best to then reboot your PC and try again after that.

    Regards,

    Ross

Thank you for this information I downloaded the suggested updated software but did not do steps 2-4 .... I a basic computer user and am not sure how or where to find these steps on my computer.

The new update makes it so my mouse part works but not the scanner part any basic advice or a step by step on how to do the rest?
