dptf_helper.exe Application Error

Several times a day I receive an error message "dptf_helper.exe - Application Error: The instruction at 0x00007FF77AD22784 referenced memory at 0x00007FF77F52440C. The memory could not be written. Click OK to terminate the program."

This is extremely annoying. I ran a system check for corrupt files, which may or may not be related to this and which were repaired, but this keeps occurring. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to either fix it or disable whatever program is causing it? This is a new machine running Windows 11.

    Hi MrCranky---01,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

The file "dptf_helper.exe" is part of the Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Utility Application.

I will recommend that you try to update the driver if it's available. If not, try to uninstall and reinstall it.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
