Hi,

I have Windows 10 2004 installed on my machine and I created an incoming VPN connection so I can use this computer as VPN server. However it does not work when I tried to connect to this computer from my other computer/phone in the same intranet. Routing and remote access is allowed in the firewall rule and service is running, port 1723 and GRE is allowed in the firewall. Also tried disable firewall.

I tried exact same setup on my Windows 7 PC, I have no issue to connect to it through VPN connection from other PC and phone.

Is this a bug on Windows 10?

    Hi ,

    >>Also tried disable firewall.

Have you tried to disable firewall on both VPN client and VPN server ? If it still doesn't work, what's the error message when you cannot connect to VPN?

It seems that there might be some early adopter issues at this time with Windows 10 2004, if possible, I would recommend you wait a bit until Windows 10 2004 matures with future cumulative updates.

You can report this issue to Microsoft directly with the Feedback Hub app. The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run in to while using Windows 10.

    Hi ,

    Thanks for your updating.

Based on my research, it seems it is hard to configure setting up L2TP server on Windows 10 without third-party software.

The following article discusses configuring Incoming Connections to accept
L2TP/IPsec and IKEv2 VPN connections from the macOS VPN client, check if it is helpful with you:
