Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
After you get confirmation your company is eligible for HUP you have to actually pay to rent it. I don't know the specifics of doing that. In theory there should be a link or instructions in the email to tell you how to "buy" it. (You don't actually "buy" 365, you only rent it).
.
The HUP was (dis)"improved) to only give you a 30% discount on subscription price of 365 Family or Personal.
.
NOTE: this is important. In order to continue getting the discount when subscription is renewed you MUST turn on “Recurring Billing” option. Now, as long as Recurring billing is turned on you can continue to pay the HUP price even after you leave the employer. With the old HUP you lost the right to use the HUP license after you left the employer. I don't consider it an "improvement" because by changing to 365, instead of paying $15 once, you are now paying 3 or 6 TIMES as much EVERY year, "forever" to use the HUP. HUGE cash cow "improvement", but only for M$.
.
Even if you don't need it right now, you might as well get 365 Family. The discount makes it the same price as retail 365 Personal, and this way you have option of sharing in future, to realize that additional "cost saving".
.
PS: when you get the HUP subscription MAKE SURE to use your personal email, NOT your work email to activate the subscription. If you use your work email you will lose it when you leave the company, AND be stuck not being able to cancel the subscription because you no longer have access to the required email account. MS will love that!
