'no scanner driver'

Canon tell me that to get my Canoscan LiDE300 to work with my Windows 11 ARM Snapdragon system, I can find the Windows driver unser Windows Update/advanced updates/optional updates I will be able to click driver update and click Canon, but for optional updates there's nothing there to choose from. So my scanner has stopped being available to me (since I had to return my 4 month old Samsung laptop for repair

    Canon support is not correct, normal drivers cannot be installed in Windows on a device with an ARM processor, it is the responsibility of the printer/scanner manufacturer to provide ARM specific drivers, if Canon cannot provide you with ARM compatible drivers for the scanner, then it cannot be used on a device with an ARM processor.
