Having a weird problem as of late where my timer functions on one of my function apps stopped running on 11/23/2025 - this is weird because all of my other timer functions on my other function apps are still working as they should.
The function app in question
The function used to run every hour without incident for months, but all of a sudden it stopped working - the function hasn't been touched nor edited since setting it up

Same situation with another timer function I have on this function app - stopped running on 11/23/2025, any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea what's happening

Timer-triggered functions rely on the Functions host acquiring a blob lease in the storage account configured by
AzureWebJobsStorage. If the host can’t access that storage due to below reasons-- keys rotated/expired
- storage firewall/private endpoint blocking
- network change)
- if the host lost the lease for any reason (runtime error, lease corruption),
timers will stop firing for that Function App while other Function Apps (using different storage or not affected) continue to run.
Restarting the Function App can sometimes restore timers.
Could you please check below and share findings in Private message.
- If the storage account keys were regenerated on/around Nov 23 (or a SAS token expired), the host will lose its ability to take/renew leases. Check the Storage Account Activity log for key rotations or configuration changes on 2025-11-23.
- If the storage account has firewall rules or private endpoints enabled, make sure the Function App can still reach it (allow outbound addresses or use service endpoints / private link correctly). Functions need network access to that storage for locks and host state.
- Search the Function host logs (Log stream / App Service logs / Application Insights) for messages like cannot acquire lease, Blob lease, host lock, StorageException, or other connectivity exceptions.
