When trying to complete APL-7008: Create agents in Microsoft CoPilot Studio, CoPilot studio would not load and would come up with an error message saying 'The connection for this site is not secure'. I followed all the correct steps leading up to accessing CoPilot so it should be have loaded correctly. The system this forced a log out and the assessment was cancelled before I had accessed CoPilot Studio.

    Hi @Ava Cookson

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the technical difficulties you encountered during your attempt at the Microsoft Applied Skills Lab - APL-7008. I understand how frustrating it is to have an assessment interrupted by a connection error, especially when following the correct procedures.

The "connection for this site is not secure" error typically indicates a conflict between the virtual lab environment and the local browser or network settings. Because this technical failure resulted in an automatic logout and a cancelled assessment, I recommend that you contact the Microsoft Credential Support team directly through the Microsoft Credentials Support Forum at Credentials support | Microsoft Learn. By reporting the specific error and the Lab ID, you can request that they reset your attempt or waive the standard 72-hour waiting period required for retakes.

To help ensure your next session loads correctly, I suggest following these troubleshooting steps.

    • Please ensure you are using Microsoft Edge in an InPrivate window for your next attempt, as this prevents interference from cached credentials or old browser data.
    • You should also verify that your computer’s date and time are set to synchronize automatically, as even a small discrepancy can trigger SSL security warnings.
    • Finally, if you are using a VPN or a third-party firewall, please consider disabling them temporarily during the lab, as these services often intercept the secure connections required by the virtual environment.

I hope these steps allow you to complete your assessment successfully. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.
