If you forgot the Microsoft Authenticator app PIN or biometric lock, there is no supported way to reset or recover it, so the correct resolution is to uninstall the Authenticator app, reinstall it, set a new app lock, and then add your accounts again; for work or school accounts, you must sign in again because only the account name can be restored, while personal Microsoft accounts can be restored only if cloud backup was previously enabled using iCloud on iOS or a Microsoft account on Android as documented here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/authenticator/restore-account-credentials-from-microsoft-authenticator If instead you forgot your actual Microsoft account password, you should reset it using the official recovery flow at https://account.live.com/password/reset. For work or school accounts where Authenticator access is lost, an IT administrator must require MFA re-registration in Microsoft Entra ID so you can set Authenticator up again on next sign in as described at https://learn.microsoft.com/entra/identity/authentication/howto-mfa-userdevicesettings. If the issue is a forgotten app password used for older apps, app passwords cannot be recovered but you can create a new one at https://account.microsoft.com/security under Advanced security options.
