Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Microsoft has not announced a price change for the Microsoft 365 Basic subscription.

Microsoft 365 Basic - $1.99/Month

To confirm whether the difference is due to tax or another charge, please check the billing breakdown on your Order History page.

https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Select the Office 365 Basic Subscription and click 'Show Details' to view the complete billing details.

Hello,

It appears that you have marked my response as 'No'.

Did you check your order history page to review the complete billing details and find out what the additional charge is for? If not, you can contact Microsoft Accounts & Billing Support directly here:

Go to this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/home/contact

Type Talk to an agent then click Get Help.

At the bottom of the page click Contact Support. Sign in to your Microsoft account if needed. If you face the same issue with the affected account use a different account to contact Microsoft Support.

Select Other Products then Billing and Account Profile questions then Confirm.
