my subscription expired last april 4, i will renew tomorrow. can i restore my files?

Hello

Since it hasn't been 6 months yet, your files should be still there as read only versions. Microsoft stated that they would be permanently deleted after 6 months. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/microsoft-storage-quotas

Can you access https://www.onedrive.com and then go to My files?

yes, but the files are not there anymore.

and you are certain you didn't delete them from your device, and might get synced to OneDrive?

Otherwise, this needs to be investigated by Microsoft support, but you do need to renew your OneDrive first.

Then, go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.
