Question

Chat Bot not recognizing text within <> in MS Teams or Skype. Works fine in Web chat though.

Example: when the chat is suppose to retrieve the text <description> it is returning blank. Whereas works fine if the text is without the <>.
However when I tested with web chat in azure portal its alright.
I have a static message for the bot to respond which is having <>. Amything within that are rendered as blank in Teams. Skype too seem not to support that, although Teams in my priority channel

Which chat bot do you use?

I tested in Live chat bot with “<>”. It responds with no problem as below.

If I misunderstand what your words, please provide us a screenshot to know your situation clearly.

In addition, make sure your client is the latest version.
