MPEG1 doesn't run on PPT16.55 and Mac 12.0.1

Until a recent PPT update (version 16,54 and 16,55), MPEG1 (and MPEG 2) file doesn't run in PPT on MAC. I'm using MPEG1 for a long time as it was the only one to be accepted by PPT at the beginning. I'm able to run the first 1 or 2 videos and then the others run slowly blocking the PPT. As I'm able to run the very first, it doesn't seems to be a problem of Codec. The same PPT file run perfectly on PC and on an old MAC - PPT version.
Is there any "bug" in the last PPT version making MPEG1 lecture impossible on MAC ?
Am I the only one to report this ?

    Do you mean this issue occur with the videos of MPEG-2 format?
    According to the article "Video and audio file formats supported in PowerPoint", MPEG-2 video (.m2v) is supported.

    I would suggest you download and install a previous version for PowerPoint for Mac, then check this issue again.
    To get the link, you could checkout the reference, "Release history for Office for Mac"
    Such as the version of 16.52 (21080801)
