When I bring a document library into a Teams tab, I want to be able to select a specific view or edit the view shown in the tab like has been made available for SharePoint lists. Why is this functionality not available when document libraries are themselves essentially lists?

Currently we couldn't show the cutsom view for document libraries in Teams.
When we add the document library as a tab in Teams, it will display documents based on the unified Teams view:
