Authenticator Login

Question

I am trying to login to my authenticator app through a school email but when I try to do that it brings me to a page asking for a code from authenticator app which I am trying to log into. It's like a impossible loop of me trying to login and them asking for a code that I am literally trying to log in to get. Please help...

I am having this problem as well. I can not log in to Microsoft 365 on my phone or computer. The scan QR code only works if you're logged in on another device. I can not log in on any device because I can not log in to the authenticator app. This is crazy! I know that my Gmail is another point of contact because I can reset my password and Microsoft sends a code for resetting the password to my email.

So if I understand this correctly you want to open the authenticator app to get the code to log in to another system (email etc.).

If I have that right the code it wants is NOT the authenticator code, it is your phone/tablet unlock code. If you don't have one of these set you need to create one.
Think about it, to verify you are authorized to get the code to access whatever site or system you need the authenticator code for it needs to at least have you prove you know how to get into the device you're using, without that anyone could pick up your phone and get access to your data.

Try using the phone unlock code, it will let you in to get the code you're looking for.
