SCOM 2019 - Install Error

Hi All,

I am trying to install SCOM 2019 on a new Windows Server 2019. Also the SQL 2019 is installed on the same server. I get the below error while i try installing Management server and Operator console everytime

Tried below steps

  • Disable AV and Windows Firewall
  • SPN registration in domain controller
  • Created new SCOM action account and installed
  • ODBC connection but still SQL is in on the same server

Please advise what could be the problem here. Error below please

    The error below normally indicates that a firewall is blocking the connection, or it could be because higher TLS versions are enforced.

    Error: :Inner Exception.Type: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException, Exception Error Code: 0x80131500, Exception.Message: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.X.X.X:5724

    Also note that SCOM 2019 only supports SQL Server 2019 with CU7 or later, it does not support the RTM version.
    If you use CU7 or later, you also need to ensure that you use ODBC 17.3 or later, and MSOLEDBSQL 18.2 or later.

    Other things to verify:

    • Make sure you are a local administrator on the servers
    • Make sure you have sysadmin privileges on the SQL Server.

    If you have enforced TLS 1.2 in your environment, follow the guide over HERE for implementing TLS 1.2 for SCOM.

    Or you can simply disable higher TLS versions during the installation of SCOM 2019, see similar post here:

    Hi,

    It seems we haven't heard from you for several days. May we know the current status of the problem? As Leon has suggested, have we tried to disable TLS 1.2 and try it again? Or if we only install the management server, does it work?

    If the account you are using is a member of the protected users group in active directory remove the membership and start the install process again.
