Hi LillianFrydenlund,
I test this scenario in my environment. I create a user with email address sameaddress@jaycetech.onmicrosoft.com. Then I create a new Team in Microsoft Teams, its email address is automatically generated and different from the user’s.
This image is the user’s email address:

So, you don’t need to worry about the conflict.
What happends if the e-mail address of a team is the same as an existing e-mail address?
When you create a team, the team gets an e-mail address which is the name of the team. What would happen if this email already exist as the e-mail of a group or person in our organization? Does this person or group stop receiving their e-mail?
I am not talking about the channel e-mail you can use to send e-mails directly to the team, but the e-mail address that you can see if you go to "manage teams" in the Teams admin center. On the profile card of the team, you can see a mail address.

Thank you for your reply. Does anyone know what these e-mail addresses which are generated is used for? Can you use them for anything? can you use it to send an e-mail to the team?
