We created the most elaborated password for our domain admin account with a lot of special characters, the first laptop with windows 11 pro and we directly found a ""bug"".

The UAC from win 11 will automatically try to incorp special characters like accent & accent-grave into letters example: e followed by will always be è. Even when you try to do thefirst and enter the previous letters after: start with the `and click before the accent and enter 12345e the result is 12345è. A flaw in the auto complete or ascii interpretation…

Like special characers have been degraded from being a character to an .. eeeh nothing, it can't even be selected anymore in the password field.

Windows 10 didn’t have an issue with this.

    Hi,

I'd be happy to help you out with your question. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please try following self troubleshooting ways to resolve the problem.

Firstly, it's important to check your keyboard settings in Windows 11. Verify that the keyboard layout and language settings are configured correctly. Incorrect settings could potentially cause unexpected character conversions, leading to the issue you described.

Additionally, I recommend ensuring that your Windows 11 installation is up to date. Microsoft regularly releases updates that address various issues and bugs, including those related to input and character handling. Updating your operating system may resolve the problem you're experiencing.

If possible, try using a different keyboard with your Windows 11 laptop. Connecting an alternative keyboard can help determine whether the issue is specific to your current keyboard or related to Windows settings.

If none of the above steps resolve the problem, I’ll recommend contacting Microsoft Technical Support, they can connect with you remotely, check what causing this issue and fix it for you, you can contact them here :- https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact/
