Hello, @mart henrey !
What do I do if I run into a blue screen error when starting my VM?
The most common causes for a blue screen error include:
- Problem with a driver
- Corrupted system file or memory
- An application accesses to a forbidden sector of the memory
When you encounter this, the recommendation is to:
- Attach the OS disk to a recovery VM: Take a snapshot of the OS disk of the affected VM as a backup, and attach it to a recovery VM.
- Locate dump file and submit a support ticket: Go to the Windows folder on the recovery VM (if the OS disk is F, then you would go to F:\Windows) and locate the
memory.dmp
file. After you've done this, submit a support ticket with the dump file.
If you run into any issues, let me know in the comments and I'd be happy to help!
