A MS Teams TEAMS-C435HD-R phone and required licenses

Hi Team,

I am about to deploy three MS Teams phones with model TEAMS-C435HD-R and TEAMS-C455HD-DBW mainly, with already bought subscription of E5. What licenses in order would I need for them to work with Teams?

A resource account with MS Teams Phone resource account or with Teams phone standard license.

Also, could you please share the URL for integrating the phone with audio codes and Teams and Intune Enrollment.

Teams licenses can be purchased as part of their Microsoft 365 and Office 365 subscriptions. If you want to konw more about the required licenses for using Teams on phones, please see available phone system licenses.

Thanks for providing the detail here. However, I am more interested in getting an answer on the use of licensing and resource account for getting these SIP phones to MS Teams.

Correct me if I am wrong here, in order to make these phones work I would need to create a resource account on the MS Teams admin and get the license assigned to the user or phone via O365 admin as needed. Do I also need to create a user for getting this phone to work or a license can directly assigned to the hard phone under devices.

what role would the AudioCodes play in terms of getting the phone ready for PSTN and non-PSTN/internal dialing?

What could be the major difference between use of a SIP gateway and AudioCodes while working with MS Teams phones?

If you are an end-user then you need to use a license who include Teams phone standard like E5.

You don't need a resource account, if you have an standard user with E5 license. Also for the C435HD device doesn't need SIP Gateway deployment because is a Teams certified phone according to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/devices/teams-ip-phones

SIP Gateway is for legacy compatible SIP devices.

Also you can validate a common area phone license (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/set-up-common-area-phones) where is typically placed in an area like a lobby or another area that is available to many people to make a call: a reception area, lobby, or conference phone. Common area phones are signed in with accounts tied to a Microsoft Teams Shared Devices license.
