Hello,

I am using ADS on macOS.

Sometimes I need to open .pdf files. My MacBook has Acrobat Reader and could handle these file types but my question is: could I configure ADS to open .pdf file automatically i.e. directly from Explorer ... like it opens other .txt, .csv and etc. types

Thanks,

    Hi Susja,

It is possible to do this today by manually installing your favorite VS Code PDF Reader extension in Azure Data Studio. You'll want to download the VSIX file for your preferred extension and install per the instructions in this document: https://learn.microsoft.com/azure-data-studio/extensions/add-extensions.

This link: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/search?term=pdf&target=VSCode&category=All%20categories&sortBy=Relevance should get you to a list of extensions that work with PDFs in the VS Code marketplace in case you do not have a preferred extension.
