Hello,
If the NAS goes over 256 TB, Windows will not be able to recognize it.
You can partition the NAS and then map these partitions to Windows via SMB.

This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
As far as I know, NTFS only allows upto 256TBs per volume.
And also when map NAS not the NTFS to windows, the NAS recognized as NTFS.
So if the NAS goes over 256 TBs, will there be any problem when using with windows?
Or can be asked as 'Is there any limitation that windows file explorer can handle?'

Hi,
Check if the NAS supports iSCSI. Most probably, it does, so you may connect your storage as a raw block storage device using Windows Server iSCSI Initiator and format it using a ReFS file system that does not have a 256TB NTFS limitation.
Good luck with your project!
