the data factory didn't send any traffic to the network

Hello all,

I have an SQL Server hosted in Azure VM I'm trying to build a connection (linked service) between her and the data factory.

Knowing that both are within the same virtual network and that the data factory is managed through the virtual network through a private endpoint on the same network

I gave the networking team the private IP for the private endpoint of the data factory and port which is 1433 and the Connection string which I tried to access via the data factory.

But they told me the data factory didn't send any traffic to the network

How can I solve this problem?

It gave me this error massage:

I forgot to add a point

Knowing that I created Azure integration runtime (Managed Virtual Network) inside the data factory and used it in my connection (linked service)

And they told me to make sure these steps no problems with them

1- make sure you can reach DNS from the private endpoint vlan
2- Make sure communication ports are open between the 2 vlan
3- SQL server listening and accepting communication on your specified port

I know I mentioned that they are on the same Virtual network, but I want it to be simplified for me. Then, if possible, explain what if they are on 2 different vlan.

If the SQL Server and data factory are on the same virtual network, then they should be able to communicate with each other without any issues.

if they are on different VLANs, then you need to ensure below points,

that the two VLANs are peered. and ensure that the private endpoint of the data factory is associated with the correct subnet and network interface.

Also verifying that the private endpoint is enabled for the data factory service? and allows traffic from the SQL server?
