I have a non-business email account setup for Azure so I can learn, simple eh?
WHY do I need a 'business' email account to learn Fabric??
Microsoft: WHY do you have to be sooooooooooo annoying????
How do developers 'learn' new tech if you have blockers like this? It's stupid!
Sure: Create Power BI personal user account and/or create Fabric free trail account
For personal email account: you need an office 365 subscription and then you can't find how to get a free trail (I don't want O365 or to pay for it for Fabric!) and you have to setup payment plan etc....
I just want to learn Fabric/Power BI!

It's asking still for a business/org email.
My org email doesn't open outside my work pc.
What a demotivating experience, I was starting myself with Azure applied skills but first thing came as a blocker.
Haha! Demotivating: Yes!
(tried to respond on my iPhone, but guess what: I couldn't on an iPhone and had to comment from a laptop lol)
Consider yourself lucky that you couldn't get an account setup.....
I managed to get an account setup, couldn't link it to my Azure 'personal' email account, closed my Azure 'personal' email account - took ages as you had to delete all the resources etc... jump through hoops and now there's a 3 days wait before it can close....
I created a new onmicrosoft.com account in azure, then created the power bi and fabric 'free trail' account.... Haha! And guess what again??
ERROR!
Half a day wasted before I gave up and created a support ticket... Microsofts response: There's a bug with creating new tenants which the engineers are looking into, the resolution time is unknown....
WTF! :)

Hey, I am unempleyed at this moment and I was doing the self paced Azure data fundamentals course on Microsoft learn. Today when I tried accessing Microsoft Fabric it is not allowing me to login with my personal microsoft account. It is asking for either a work or school email. That's BS.

Wow, what a pain and annoying Microsoft implementation. Do they still teach UX in uni?
Here's the work around for anyone else struggling to compete with Microsofts bad UX:
And now I cannot use the 'Free Trail' as it is greyed out due to tenant issues.... WTAF!
It shouldn't be this stressful creating a FREE TRAIL!!!!
