Hi!

I have an issue with my internet, both Ethernet and Wi-Fi, where it says i'm not connected to internet yet i can browse the web, play online games and other things requiring internet.

I am unble to update windows through the windows update tool, i'm unable to use microsoft store, unable to search for new music on spotify and other windows/microsoft related tools and applications.

When i click the get help on network and internet in the settings it says i have internet, but everywhere else windows says i have no internet.

I have searched everywhere else and find little help anywhere.

Thanks for any help.

    Hello Jorgen

Did you try this step to resolve your issue?

Restart your router and modem: Power cycling your network equipment can often resolve temporary connectivity issues. Turn off your router and modem, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on.

Update network drivers: Outdated or incompatible network drivers can cause connectivity problems. Visit the website of your network adapter manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers for your device.

Reset TCP/IP stack: Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands one by one:   - netsh winsock reset   - netsh int ip reset   After executing these commands, restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved

Reset network settings: Open the Settings app, go to "Network & Internet," and select the "Network reset" option. This will reset your network settings to their default configuration. Note that this will remove any custom settings you've configured, such as VPN connections.

Disable IPv6: Some network configurations may have issues with IPv6. To disable it temporarily, go to the Network and Sharing Center, click on your network connection, select "Properties," and uncheck the box for "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)." Restart your computer.

    Hello,

Press Win + S to open the search window, type internet options and select the setting. Enable SSL and TLS relate options and confirm that if Windows Store has internet connection:

    User's image

Besides, if it is domain joined system or domain network, please confirm with your system/network admin and confirm with them about related limitation configurations.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,
    Karlie Weng

Ok now I figured this out by fluke so not sure if its the right solution

    1. Got a new Windows 11 Dell Inspiron AMD Ryzen 5
    2. Tried to connect it to my wifi internet and it did not work.
    3. The tried to connect to my wifi using phone hotspot and worked like a gem
    4. broke my head like for 2 hours rebooting the modem like twice/thrice and resetting and factory resetting
    5. Did network adapter reset still same issue
    6. Saw some suggestions to run ipconfig /flushdns and restarting the laptop and tried those. Didnt work
    7. Was decided on giving my laptop back but then thought of playing around with some more settings.
    8. Go to your Laptops Setting , Network and Internet Settings and get to WIFI and network adapter -> Properties --> Configure --> Advanced and Select 5G Mode then check the mode for 5G Wireless Mode. Change the mode which ends in ax to ac. ax is not supported yet it seems in some internet routes/modems for 802.11 protocol.
    9. Automatically your wifi should connect.
    10. Try restarting and it should work (Worked for me).
