How to remove a vpn connection from the azure vpn client via GPO scripts

I have deployed a GPO that installs a PFX certificate then moves the azure vpn config.xml to the correct folder. Lastly, it then imports the config.xml into the azure vpn client for all requried users across the Enterprise. The issue I am having is that the previous vpn connection is not being over written by the batch script, azurevpn -i azurevpnconfig.xml. This command works without fail is there is no previous connection with the same name. Is there a batch command that will remove the previous vpn connection or allow the above command to overwrite the previous connection?

Saravanan Ganesan 1,745 Reputation points MVP2024-01-29T19:33:19.66+00:00 Hi Kyle To overwrite the previous VPN connection in your batch script, include the following lines: rasdial "Your VPN Connection Name" /disconnect azurevpn -i azurevpnconfig.xml Replace "Your VPN Connection Name" with the actual name of the VPN connection. This sequence ensures disconnection of the existing connection before importing the new configuration, avoiding conflicts during the update process. Regards, Saravanan Ganesan.

2024-01-30T15:46:51.2733333+00:00 Saravanan, I implemented the above command as a separate batch script and while it does run the command it does not remove the VPN connection from Azure VPN Client. I tested it this morning and still have to manually remove the VPN connection from the azure vpn client for the new vpn connection to install.
