Register an iOS device to the Azure Notification Hub

I'm creating an application with .NET8 MAUI and I like to add the push notification for all platforms. I have already added the push notification for Windows and Android but I'm stuck with iOS. In Windows, for example, I wrote this code

var channel = await PushNotificationChannelManager.CreatePushNotificationChannelForApplicationAsync();
channel.PushNotificationReceived += Channel_PushNotificationReceived;

var deviceInstallation = new
{
    InstallationId = new EasClientDeviceInformation().Id,
    Platform = "wns",
    PushChannel = channel.Uri
};

that gets the InstallationId and the PushChannel and with the deviceInstallation I can call the Azure Notification Hub via api to register the device. I can't find any example how to implement this part of code for iOS.

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, all the examples are using the Azure Notification Hub SDK. I want to call the register the devices using the API and I couldn't find any documentation about it.

Thank you for your message. I have already read the document. When I create the installation, I send this payload

var deviceInstallation = new { InstallationId = UIDevice.CurrentDevice.IdentifierForVendor.AsString(), Platform = "apns" };

but I get Bad request from the Azure Notification Hub.

Yes, PushChannel is required parameter when you are creating an installation which mentioned in request body table in REST API documentation as well.

As mentioned in the documentation here, PushChannel value is the registration id, device token or URI obtained from platform-specific notification service.

To create the device token, you need to register your app in apple developer and register your app in it. Here is the apple documentation about registering and generating the device token.

You can also refer to this existing documentation for setting up your iOS app but this documentation follow the certificate based instead of token.
