I bought HP Pavillion 14 laptop few months back. Initially the battery was draining 1% for 3 to 4 mins. But now the battery is draining 1% for every 1.5 to 2 mins. I changed the battery settings as suggested in community. I switched to power saving mode. Also I reinstalled the windows 11. Still facing the same issue. Kindly help.

Better ask this the HP support, may it's a known issue and they have a solution for.

    Hello,

To further troubleshoot the issue, I would suggest checking the battery health of your laptop. You can do this by following these steps:

    1. Press the Windows key + X and select "Windows PowerShell (Admin)".
    2. Type the command "powercfg /batteryreport" and press Enter.
    3. This will generate a battery report that will show you the current capacity of your battery and its design capacity.

If the current capacity is significantly lower than the design capacity, it may indicate that the battery needs to be replaced. In this case, I would recommend contacting HP support for further assistance.

Additionally, you can also try calibrating your laptop's battery by following these steps:

    1. Charge your laptop to 100%.
    2. Disconnect the charger and use your laptop until the battery drains completely and the laptop shuts down.
    3. Leave your laptop off for at least 5 hours.
    4. Connect the charger and charge your laptop to 100% again.

This process can help recalibrate the battery and improve its performance.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
