Error installing SCDPM 2022

Question

Hello community

I don't understand the world anymore :-(

Been trying to install SCDPM 2022 for a few days. Unfortunately always without success.

Situation:

DP1 Windows Server 2022 current version with all requirements installed. Also SSMS.

DB1 Windows Server 2022 current status. SQL Server 2022 corresponding database set up. As well as reporting services.

All of my devices based on the German language

ERROR:

What am I failing at?

The file DpmAddtionalSoftwareLicense is only present in the folder 1033 corresponding to the English locale and is missing in the other folders for the other locals. for Germany the language code is 1031. copy the file DpmAddtionalSoftwareLicense from 1033 to 1031 and retry it should work

Here's what you need to do to set up System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM):

1. Read the Setup prerequisites.
2. Verify the DPM operating system is compatible.
3. Set up a SQL Server database to store DPM settings and configuration information.
4. Set up DPM. You can Install DPM from the user interface or Run an unattended install. Follow these instructions if you want to Install DPM on a domain controller.

Hi,

as mentioned I did follow the prerequisites. The error, at least I believe is coming from another part.

See second pic. Hope this time the pics are visible. As said they are in German

Hi,

The second pic. Failed to load Microsoft Software License Terms. The system cannot find the specified file.

Hi,

I have uninstalled SQL DPM Instance, Reporting Service and Management Studio and reinstalled as per posted link. Not per command line, I have set it via GUI.

As well I have downloaded the US Eval of DPM 2022.

Both tries did end in the same behaviour as already posted. I also have tried the US Eval SQL Prep on the DPM server as well on my WIN11 machine. Always getting this error "failed to load Microsoft License Terms".

But I need to say that the DPM setup is always starting in German language.
