Hello, @Colby Stirland !
How can I tell if I'm using Azure Virtual Desktop or Azure Virtual Desktop (classic)?
The two clear indications that you are using Azure Virtual Desktop (classic) are whether or not you use the Azure portal and whether or not you have ARM integration:
- Not in Azure Portal: Azure Virtual Desktop (classic) has a dedicated UI outside of the Azure Portal that you would connect to from the classic URL:
https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/api/feeddiscovery/webfeeddiscovery.aspx - No Azure Resource Manager integration: Azure Virtual Desktop (classic) is managed with PowerShell and does not have Azure Resource Manager (ARM) integration.
If you are not connecting to the classic URL, then you are not using Azure Virtual Desktop (classic).

- Azure Virtual Desktop (classic) will be retired on 30 September 2026 - Please transition to Azure Virtual Desktop

- Migrate manually from Azure Virtual Desktop (classic)
