I have added custom fonts in the font directory of my Maui project's Resources directory and updated the MauiProgram.cs file accordingly. The fonts work fine when I deploy the application using Visual Studio, but when I publish the app and upload it to Play Store, the custom fonts are not working at all. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Did you change the properties of the font file to MauiFont?
If the properties of the font file have been modified to MauiFont, please check whether font file packaging is disabled in the project file.

i have the same problem (publish the app and upload it to Play Store) after upgrade from net7 to net8. On iOS and WinUI work fine but on android not work.

I'm experiencing the same issue. When deployed from the IDE to the Android emulator, the custom font icons display correctly. In published release versions, the icons are missing ([X] is shown instead).
I have verified that font file packaging is not disabled in the project file. This is an issue with Android releases only.

Font icons are lost (happens randomly in debug too although several clean and rebuilds eventually fix this)
Tested with AOT disabled and enabled and get the same results regardless.
It's basically unusable.

I still have same problem, I think reason is: - build in release mode don't copy custom fonts (fa-solid.ttf) inside .aab file
I solved the problem by publishing with visual studio version 17.10.0.

I'm experiencing the same issue in VS 17.11.4.
Fonts work fine in debug mode, but when running in release mode they do not work.
