Hi HANA.HARILE,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing this issue with your laptop.
The message “That username looks like it belongs to another organization” typically occurs when there’s a conflict between the account you’re trying to sign in with and the organization associated with it. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this:
- Local Account Login: First, try logging in with the local account created during the initial setup wizard instead of using another account. If you prefer to use a different account, make sure you connect to the network or add the other account to the domain.
- Check Your Organizations:
- Sign in to the My Account portal with your work or school account.
- Select “Organizations” from the left navigation pane or choose the “Manage organizations” link from the Organizations block.
- Review the information for your Home organization and ensure that you recognize all the organizations you have access to
- Run Factory Reset Again:
- From the sign-in page, look for the power icon. Click on it, then hold down the Shift key while choosing “Restart.” This will bring up the WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) menu.
- Choose “Troubleshoot” > “Reset this PC,” and then run the option that deletes everything again.
- If needed, consider a clean install using the ISO file you can download from Microsoft.
- Windows 11 Version:
- Make sure you know which version of Windows 11 you have (Home, Pro, or Education).
- If the issue persists, you might need to perform additional troubleshooting steps based on your specific version.
