Hi all,
I have a quick question regarding the AVD Insights.
Does anyone else currently have issues with the "Host Performance" blade showing "the query returned no results" for all the insights? I have this issue currently in multiple of my tenants but can’t find the reason. The environments are a mix of Manual and Terraform deployed. In all of them I recently changed to the new Azure Monitoring Agent.
The insight workbook seems to be set up correctly and receives data:
Did any of you experience similar issues and where you able to fix them?
I've already tried:
- Recreating the DCR with Terraform and manually
- Recreating the DCR with the Microsoft supplied JSON template
- Troubleshooting Steps from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/troubleshoot-insights?tabs=monitor

2024-06-03T12:08:19.2633333+00:00 @Tim Pepe Hubert-Tzschoppe, Could you please check "Heartbeat" table for these AVDs in question and see if you see the heartbeat being reported with "category = Azure Monitor Agent". For AMA, which is successfully able to connect to LA workspace, an entry is logged every minute in the "Heartbeat" table of LA workspace.
You may use the query below:
Heartbeat | where Category == "Azure Monitor Agent" | summarize LastHeartbeatReceived = max(TimeGenerated) by ComputerAlso, please confirm that you have followed the steps as available here - Enable Insights to monitor Azure Virtual Desktop

Yes I followed this guide. As you can see in the screenshots in the post the Insights workbook is showing everything as configured properly

Marcel 0 Reputation points2024-06-04T13:32:02.3933333+00:00 This problem is also present on our deployment. We have set up the workbook as instructed and still the "Host Performance" pane remains empty. Everything else is showing data as expected.

At this point, I would suggest reviewing the logs and configuration on the host itself as per the instruction available here - Basic troubleshooting steps
This is to ensure that there are no errors in the local file while trying to execute the logic for DCR.
In case the logs above does not help, due to the nature of the issue, I would suggest reaching out to Azure Support, so that this deployment instance can be investigated in detail using the logs from host and backend platform as required.
