Hello,
I submitted an Identity validation for a public certificate 4 days ago that we need to sign a vsto plugin that has been giving us problems on clients pc when installing and was wondering how long it would take to be completed... right now it says in progress.
I am aware the docs here says "identity validation request takes from 1 to 7 business days (possibly longer if we need to request more documentation from you)." but we haven't got any request or for 4 days now.

Like the documentation mentions, the validation can take 1 to 7 business days or longer. I would suggest waiting for that timeframe.
That said, I have reached out internally and shared your request to see if there's anything else that can be done. If you don't hear back within that timeframe, feel free to reach out to me. I'll also post back if I get a response from my colleague on the Trusted Signing team.

Note also that public identity validation requests are only available for companies, and private persons cannot obtain them at this time.
so the validation came back as failed but I spelt an email wrong so I fixed and resent. The second request has not come back as Failed. What do we need to do pass?
The first validation came back as failed, I realized I had an email spelt incorrectly so I fixed and created a new validation. Now that has come back as failed as well.
What do we need to do to validate ? I am aware this is available for companies but even the forms when filling doesn't let you type out the whole company address because its only needing 30 characters.

We too have this issue. We submitted an ID validation request on the 24th of May and it's still showing as In Progress. I think we've given it plenty of time ... We raised a support ticket and haven't had a response in a week since posting it.
The org is @chrisbooksprout (I think). ID is for Authorbase.

@Allan Gaunt We checked with the team internally and could not find any request for org name @chrisbooksprout. Can you please verify what's the organization name that the request was created for?
