Adding a Delegate to a Private Group Calendar

Good afternoon,

I have a Private O365 SharePoint site/group. It is for our department leaders to use to email, create events, share files, etc. Anything you'd expect to be able to do with a SharePoint site in O365.

I'd like to be able to have our admin add calendar events to the Private Group's Calendar. Is that something that is possible without making that admin a part of the Private Group.

I'd like them to be able to use the Add Calendar from Directory and choose that Group Calendar, it currently says no permissions, which is correct, as I cannot find a way to add delegates to the calendar since it doesn't appear to be regular user calendar.

Any advice?

    Hi @Beyer, Clay ,

Based on my research, this is not currently possible.

To add a delegate to a private group calendar in O365 SharePoint, the admin needs to be added as a member of the group. This is because only members of the group have access to the group's calendar. Once the admin is a member of the group, they can add events to the group calendar using the "Add Calendar" feature in the directory.
