Does anyone know if it's possible to access the SMTP transaction logs for email delivery in Azure Communication Services?
We currently channel our application emails through O365, but have had a couple of occasions recently where the email hasn't sent first time due to the O365 sending limits. Consequently I'm looking to replace this with the ACS Email service and have successfully created and sent emails via SMTP using it in a test environment.
However, one of the frequent issues we have is with customers reporting they didn't receive an email, so we currently access Message Tracker to provide the customer of proof of the email being handed off to their mail server with the timestamp and IP address.
So far I haven't found where this information could be accessed in ACS. I have turned on the diagnostic settings for Email Service Send Mail Logs and Email Service Delivery Status Update Logs, but these don't include any useful information like the delivery IP address, or message Id. Without access to this data, ACS is a non-starter for us.
